If you notice some scuff marks, quickly use the sandpaper on the affected area until the leather surface feels smooth and leveled again.

Then apply some aerosol dye gently with a sponge to match the color of your seat. Let it dry for about 10 minutes, then repeat the process. Next use a plastic palette knife to apply a leather filler product over the scuff mark.

Once you have left it to dry, sand the area again. Two coats of matching dye will be enough to blend the filling into the remaining leather.

When you’ll be done, it will be very hard to notice any scruff mark there.

Fix those minor tears

Needless to say, torn leather ruins the overall look of a vehicle. No matter how much you care for it, the absence of leather might make you hate your ride. But you need not worry in this case too as there are countless ways to restore its glory too and we will teach you some of those.

First what you got to do is apply some soapy water to the affected area and wipe it properly. Then take a good quality leather cleaner product and apply it to a scuff pad. Using that pad, apply the solution to the affected area removing any dirt or debris.

After that you can begin to heal the crack or tear yourself. A backing pad material is one great way to do it. Take a piece of that material and insert it inside the tear.

Then take some leather filler and apply it through the tear. Bring the edges of the torn area together carefully and push them to the position against the backing pad. After leaving the filler to dry for 50-60 minutes, take some more filler and make sure that no gaps are left.

Let it dry for 10 more minutes then sand it or apply some more filler to any rough areas. Finally apply a light coat of matching dye and you will notice that the cracks and tears have become totally negligible.

So that’s it buddy!

An easy and effective method to get awesome leather seats!

Want to restore your ride’s leather seats in the perfect way? Here’s how

Have the leather seats of your ride started to look like Greyscale from Game of Thrones? No worries as we will tell you just how you can make them look brand new with minimum effort. Just follow these directions carefully and see the difference you can create.

Let’s go!

Step 1: The Reconditioning

  • First of all, remove the floor mats.
  • Immerse the scrub brush in soap and water solution.
  • Scrub the floor mats thoroughly until shiny clean.
  • Keep floor mats aside to dry properly.
  • Using a proper socket wrench, detach the car seat base from the floor of the car.
  • Detach electrical components (if any).
  • Remove the seats and adjust them on a bench or work table.
  • Vacuum the vehicle properly removing every dust particle that might be caught in the hard to reach areas.
  • Vacuum the seat’s crevices also so that no debris could mix with the leather reconditioning solution and create a mess.
  • Using a damp microfiber towel, clean the seats and let them dry.
  • Take a small amount of leather reconditioner on a clean towel and apply to small sections of leather surface to test. If it doesn’t harm the surface at all, continue to do it.
  • Once you are satisfied with the tone and colour of the conditioner, take a larger amount and apply on the surface of the seats. But don’t apply to the seats’ creases and crevices.
  • After getting done with the process mentioned above, dilute the reconditioner with water and apply to creases and crevices.
  • Leave it to dry in open and fresh air.
  • If you aren’t happy with the colour, make sure to follow the steps below.
  • But if you are good with it, attach the seat bases to their frames.
  • That’s it buddy, you are good to go!

Now onto the next thing but before that how about the best ceramic coating in Delhi by the leader of auto-detailing in India.

Recolouring your leather seats

  • Once the seats have dried up from the application of the reconditioner, take a new microfiber towel or sponge and apply a tiny amount of leather recolouring solution.
  • Apply it to a small section of the leather to test it.
  • If you are happy with the colour, apply it to the remaining surfaces. It might take more than one coat. Make sure to let one coat dry before applying the other.
  • With the desired output accomplished, mix the recolouring agent with water in 4:1 ratio and apply the ultimate coat.
  • Remove the excess solution with a fresh microfiber towel before it dries up.
  • Leave the seats to dry overnight.
  • Apply the reconditioner to make the leather’s shine come to life.
  • Let it dry again.
  • Reattach the base of the seat to its frame.
  • And there you go buddy, you’re done!
